Byron Bliss

This week, Williamsons and Morrises (friends from round the corner in Cambridge) headed north to Byron Bay to sample the best beaches that new south wales has to offer. Being further north introduced larger and more deadly spiders, which was a negative for some - but once we'd found the redbacks that were living under the patio chairs we'd been sitting on at least we were able to get rid of them! Obviously deadly perils lurk in the water too. Thankfully we only saw little jelly fish and bottom feeding sharks on an epic snorkling trip! Everyone got on very well. Dulcie was never happier than when she was pulling out William's dummy - still she got him a beer to make up - see below. Thea and Emily spent many happy hours trying to out boss each other. Vics and Rach seemed to manage regular time off for beauty therapies and shopping (editor's comment, he's only talking about 4 hours over the whole week which was always reciprocated... not that it's an issue, ahem) and Will and James staged some titanic clashes on the tennis court. The highlights had to be the fine beaches, the high tech house, and beautiful evenings with fine food and a fair smattering of good Aussie wine.

Hi guys, pics look wonderful! We stopped at Lorne when we did the Great Ocean Road a couple of years ago and loved it there too. Cool place. Hope you manage to find some new digs soon. Thanks for putting Ian up. He is now sweating his way around Bangkok trying to minimise his time in the open (35 degrees and 85% humidity) by ducking from hotel to sky train to office. Meanwhile here the kids seem to be surviving and I am depleting our wine stock. It's a good job I'm still breastfeeding or it all might go a lot quicker! Love to you all xx
